  • New to Curling?

    Young and old, experienced or not, the RCC has a league right for you.
    League play starts as for members as young as 7 years old, and is scheduled during the day and evening.
    Tuesday's Novice league is well suited for new curlers, where the emphasis is on learning and fun.

  • WhyJoin the RCC?

    When you join the Russell Curling Club, you join the community.
    Club members volunteer to work a few hours at one of the many events that are held at the club.
    If you are new to the area, it's a great way to meet people. The club draws members from a wide area including Russell, Embrun, Limoges, Casselman, Marionville.
    An entertainment committee is always planning fun events at the club.

  • How do I join / register with the RCC?

    Registration is open in the fall, before the start of the curling season. The home page www.russellcurlingclub.com will show a regsitration option during this time.   • Can I sign up more than one member with the same email address?

    No. Features like "Forgot login" and "Lost username" prevent different users from sharing identical emails.
    To manage a single email account, there are different options, each with its pros and cons:
    (i) create new and/or secondary email accounts for each user, and auto-forward emails from those new accounts to a single account;
    (ii) use sub-addresses for each user :https://www.joomlapolis.com/news/18328-sharing-email-addresses-between-joomla-accounts (does not work with Yahoo/Rogers/Sympatico);

  • Do members need to login the RCC website?

    There are many benefits to login: view club announcements addressed to you, view your upcoming games, keep your personal and contact information up to date, contact other current club members, etc.

  • How do I obtain my username?

    In the Member Login area, click on 'Forgot Login?' and select 'Lost Username' and follow the directions.
    Use the same email (or sub-address or alias) used for registration.

  • How do I obtain my password?

    In the Member Login area, click on 'Forgot Login?' and select 'Lost Password' and follow the directions.
    Use the same email (or sub-address or alias) used for registration.

  • How do I change my Username / Password

    You can modify your Username and/or Password at any time.
    After login, select 'My Information' under Member Information, then click on the 'Edit' -> 'Update your Profile' button on top of your avatar picture. Navigate the different tabs to update your information.

  • Can I opt out of receiving emails?

    Yes. Click on the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. If your email is linked to different mailing lists, you'll need to unsubscribe to each individually.

  • I am not receiving emails from the club. Why?

    You may be unscribed from one or more mailing lists. All club announcements addressed to you are on the Member' Home page (requries login).
    To receive messages in your inbox, please contact the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. from the email address you want to use and send your First and Last name, along with the types of emails you're missing (e.g. Newsletter, Convenor annoucements, etc).

  • How many hours do I need to volunteer?

    If you have not opted out, each member should volunteer 8 hours per calendar year.

  • Can I opt out of volunteering?

    Yes. Members opting out of volunteering pay an extra $100 per calendar year.

  • I signed up for the wrong league. What can I do?

  • I don't see the league I want to register for. What can I do?

    Some leagues are available only to some members, depending on the age and/or gender specified during the registration process (also shown in 'My Information' under the Member Information in the Member Menu). For example, a 'male' cannot sign-up for a ladies curling league. Edit 'My Information' if it is not correct.
