We would like to inform all RCC members that we are bringing the Curling Canada no-tick rule to our leagues (except for the Sturling league), effective immediately.
This rule was implemented by Curling Canada in the 2023-2024 season.
That means if the opposition stone is touching the center line in the Free Guard Zone, it can’t be moved off that line until the fifth stone of the end. If it happens, the opposition stone goes back to where it was on the center line (or the opposing team can decide to leave the rock "as-is" if it benefits them more). This rule is now standard across the country and should make for some great strategy and tighter ends. Thanks for rolling with the change — we’re looking forward to some exciting games ahead!
